Sign up your Troop to Help at Cub Registration Night ASAP!

Posted on Updated on

It is that time of year again where the local Cub Scouts Packs are needing for assistance at their events.

There are a few open houses that the packs do not have the manpower to place volunteers at multiple schools on the same night. Can you help promote Scouts to young families?

Also, on registration night, they are needing Troops to assist the new scouts with building a race car, similar to the catapults in the recent past. The packs would like to have 2 deep leadership and 2+ scouts.

Please review the signup and help were you and/or your troop can!

What is the Hornaday Award?

William T. Hornaday Awards

Hornaday Silver Medal

Think of It as an Olympic Medal Bestowed by the Earth

Conservation and the Boy Scouts of America have been partners for a long time. Camping, hiking, and respect for the outdoors are a part of the Scouting heritage. Many of the requirements for advancement from Tenderfoot through Eagle Scout rank call for an increasing awareness and understanding of the natural sciences. Many former Scouts have become leaders in conserving our environment and protecting it from abuse. Right now Scouts are involved in learning about environmental problems and actively working to make a difference
